Owned and operated out of Hot Springs, AR celebrates its 41st anniversary this year. Founded in 1979, the program has become the premier pageant program for young girls in Arkansas. Little Miss Arkansas® continues to set high standards for excellence by emphasizing natural beauty both inside and out.  An accredited pageant system, Little Miss Arkansas® remains one of the top pageant systems for young girls.

CEO

Barbara Johnson is owner and director of the Little Miss Arkansas® pageant. She has been associated with pageants for more than 30 years, having judged children’s pageants on the local, state, and national levels including talent and photogenic competitions.

She has also designed children’s clothes and has been a panelist on television talk shows concerning pageants and children.

Barbara is from Hot Springs, Ark., where she resides with her husband Kenneth, with whom she has 2 children. Their daughter, Teheva was Miss Hot Springs, Miss Little Rock, Miss UALR, Miss UCA, First Alternate to Miss Arkansas and Coleman Dairy Talent Award winner. Their son, Tod, is a law enforcement officer with the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission.

Barbara attends Bates Community Church, where she is the pianist for the praise and worship group.

Judges

Our panel of judges is made up of professionals, experienced in the modeling and talent fields.  Every effort is made to produce a pageant that is fair and enjoyable.  Our judges look for “Natural beauty”.  We believe in teaching children they are beautiful both inside and out.  Keep your children little and innocent for as long as you can!

Purpose

The purpose of our pageant is to improve social skills, increase self confidence, build self esteem but most importantly to have FUN!
